Feeling stuck in self-doubt? Let’s work through it together.
Do you find yourself people-pleasing your way through life? Are you starting to question the system that told you to play small? If you're ready to fight back (even nervously), you’re in the right place.
Well, let me introduce myself: I'm Rachel.
I help rebels like you stand in their truth and find their community.
With a background in clinical social work and training in cognitive-behavioral, acceptance and commitment, and trauma-based therapies, I help women build emotional resilience and find clarity.
My approach combines cognitive and somatic techniques with personalized coping strategies to support stress management, self-trust, and lasting inner strength—always tailored to your unique needs.
Fun, funky, and real—Here’s what I’m all about
acceptance
Acceptance isn’t just a concept—it’s a daily practice. I believe in radical acceptance, creating a space where you feel affirmed, seen, and supported exactly as you are.
social justice
My work is rooted in social justice, not just in theory but in action. I’m committed to creating a space where all identities are respected and you can show up fully as yourself.
empowerment
Empowerment means helping you trust your own voice. I’m here to support your growth, confidence, and ability to stand steady—especially when life feels uncertain.
A little about me
I grew up in Baltimore, MD and just moved to the Roaring Fork Valley with my partner and two dogs. I love being in the outdoors, playing board games, reading, trying to be crafty and whimsical, getting movement and exploring.
I graduated from the University of Maryland Baltimore School of Social Work with a concentration in both Clinical and Macro (or high-level systems), so I see the importance in looking at how systems, internal, families, society, religious, and political, effect us and finding our place in advocating for vulnerable populations locally and globally. I have been trained in Somatic and Trauma-based therapies, as well as CBT and ACT.
I pull from all of these in sessions:
IFS or Internal Families Systems
EMDR or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing
Polyvagal Theory
ACT or Acceptance Commitment Therapy
CBT or Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy
Strengths-based Therapy
I’m an elder sister of divorced parents. I love how IFS looks at our place in and the patterns of our family systems and allows us to question if they’re working. I grew up with a Christian background and I’ve done a lot of work around finding my place in my faith and in my relationship with God. I have spent a good amount of time in therapy challenging responsibility, boundaries and guilt and working through the “helper” and “good girl” roles I learned and took on. I love all people, but I am liberal and LGBTQIA+ affirming. It is incredibly important for me that everyone I work with feels loved, accepted and cared about no matter their religion, race, gender or sexual preference.
What to expect from me in sessions:
I like being a little silly, laugh together and get serious when needed. I’m the one whose going to challenge you, but be really gentle and loving about it. I pull from many therapy types for what fits the situation and I offer practicing techniques in session.
I hope by working together I can offer a unique perspective on loving and accepting yourself more, feeling more confident in your place in the world and not letting others’ opinions matter so much.
I’m licensed in Maryland, Virginia and Colorado. I love having walk-and-talk sessions, I think they are a unique way to connect as people and also pay attention to the world around us.
