Supervision for Social Workers and Professional Counselors
my approach?
I help you build self-trust and confidence—through real tools, honest reflection, and a space where you can be fully yourself.
Supervision isn’t about checking boxes—it’s about growing your confidence, deepening your clinical instincts, and having space to ask real questions.
We’ll focus on real challenges, not just theory. You’ll get grounded feedback, steady support, and room to show up as your full self.

Individual:
When we meet for our first supervision, we will create a growth plan. I also use a structure of learning about several modalities and techniques to ensure you are learning necessary clinical and ethical skills.
A typical individual session is one-hour in length. We will review celebrations or wins and challenges or growth areas for you. I ask supervisees to come prepared with cases to discuss or areas to process. We will follow-up about how you practiced implementing techniques and they were received in client sessions.
Group:
Groups are held one time per month virtually. These sessions are run as a place for learning, resource sharing and processing cases amongst your peers. I foster a welcome, safe space amongst colleagues. I will also review a growth plan with any new group member and we will follow a learning structure.

I am very encouraging and supportive in my supervision sessions. I want supervision to be a safe space to learn and grow. I will also challenge you to consider alternative perspectives and to look for and process transference and countertransference that comes up and how you are caring for yourself. I will ask about work/life balance and want you to be caring for yourself as a top priority, as well as, your clients. I will share how I would handle a situation or ways I would process with a client for you to consider.
Supervision with me is not therapy, so we’ll be careful to watch for that line in our sessions and I will encourage you to go to your own therapy to have your own important clinical support.
